Our Approach To 11+ Tutoring

Personalised learning For Your Child​

Before joining, we'll discuss your child's needs, goals and target schools to ensure they receive the right tuition.  

Our courses are designed for students who are performing at a secure or greater depth level in English and Maths.  

Occasionally, we may ask students to complete a very short assessment to identify the best approach for them.

​Complete 11+ Exam Preparation​​​

In our main programme, we cover all four 11+ subjects: Maths, English, Verbal Reasoning (VR) and Non-Verbal Reasoning (NVR) - to give your child the strongest chance of success.

We recognise that each 11+ exam differs in focus and structure.  Our courses are designed to give children the flexibility and confidence to approach any exam with the skills and strategies they need to succeed.

Small Groups or 1:1

Small, focused groups provide the best learning experience.

In a small group, every child still receives individual attention while also learning alongside peers.  This balance builds confidence, encourages flexible thinking and helps children see alternative problem-solving strategies.

Each child also receives tailored feedback, informed by our diagnostics, so parents know their child is progressing in the right areas.

A limited number of 1:1 classes are also available on request.

Learn Online or In-Person

Our group courses are delivered online via Zoom, which we believe is the most effective medium for small-group 11+ learning.​

​

Our online group classes are highly interactive and carefully structured to ensure every child is fully engaged.  With cameras on and groups kept deliberately small, tutors can see each student clearly, involve them constantly, and maintain a calm, focused learning environment.  This approach often provides a better learning environment than in-person group classes, removing busy classroom distractions while ensuring every child is actively learning, supported and progressing.   Online lessons also offer added convenience: no travel, a comfortable home setting and the ability to join from anywhere.

For those who prefer in-person learning, a limited number of 1:1 sessions are available in Orpington.

​Specialised St. Olave's Preparation Course & Targeted Creative Writing Support

We offer a specialist course for St. Olave's Stage 2 preparation, as well as targeted support to significantly boost Creative Writing Skills: essential for super-selective grammars and independent school exams.

Clear Progress Tracking

We use statistical diagnostics to monitor each child's development: identifying patterns, highlighting strengths and pinpointing areas for growth.  This allows us to offer targeted support, ensuring no gap is left unaddressed.
